Following the national educational guidelines formulated by AIGAE, for several years we have been offering our Basic Hiking Courses, in which techniques are taught, equipment is introduced, and fundamental procedures are learned for a correct approach to natural environments. Learning how to prepare your backpack, what clothing is most suitable, how to plan the itinerary, how not to lose the trail, will be just some of the topics covered, so you can enjoy a day of hiking with peace of mind, independence, and awareness.
The Basic Hiking Course can be included in the educational programming of Upper Secondary Schools as part of thePathways for Transversal Skills and Orientation (PCTO).

The course, for the theoretical part takes place at our headquarters (or, upon request, in another location) and for the practical part takes place outdoors; it lasts about a month and a half with nine meetings or excursions and the exam. The topics covered will be:
- equipment, clothing and footwear; - organization of the backpack and first aid kit; - training, nutrition, breathing; - reading and interpreting topographic maps - use of maps and compass; - planning an excursion with a topographic map (with group project work); - danger prevention and good behavior rules during excursions; - alerting rescue services; - environmentally friendly behaviors.

"How to review an experience like the Basic Hiking Course... it's not easy, but I can guarantee that it is a GREAT experience that enriches both soul and body!!!! Truly!!!"

"A wonderful experience that, besides giving me the opportunity to get to know Mother Nature better, also allowed me to meet new friends with whom I can't wait to have new adventures..."

The Basic Hiking Course is a training program to approach Nature with safety, awareness, respect, and care. For us, it is also and above all an opportunity to make available to everyone, to share with each person, the experiences and knowledge gained over decades of activity along the trails.
