Environmental education
Activities for schools
Environmental education aims to help initiate and maintain a harmonious relationship between people and their environment, understood as a complex of social, cultural, and natural conditions. For this to be possible, this discipline must be conceived as a continuous education that accompanies people's lives. In particular, in schools, environmental education can teach young people to appreciate cultural and environmental heritage as a common good to be defended, to explore the territory through scientific research methods, to develop creativity, manual skills, and imagination, and to experience confrontation, dialogue, and relationships with others.
Deeply convinced of the absolute importance of these educational processes, for many years we have been offering excursions, educational projects, and itineraries for educational trips that are specially designed for schools and carried out mainly through direct "field" experience.
All proposed activities are conceived as "open programs", to be defined in detail in agreement with the teachers. Customized in this way, they gain value and quality, adapting to the needs of the class and the age of the students, connecting to the educational programs and integrating the work normally carried out by teachers. Each activity will be organized by prioritizing the direct participation of students through guided excursions, field research, the creation of laboratories and scientific tools, and recreational moments. Such an approach to the environment will not only be educational but will also make the best use of the emotional and affective component.
Sistema Natura is registered with M.E.P.A. (Electronic Marketplace of Public Administration).

Educational excursions are itineraries to discover protected areas and other places and territories of great naturalistic value, to get to know the different unique and special environments of our country. Often located a short distance from schools, these true "natural treasures" represent ideal places for interdisciplinary educational activities, for learning about local environments and cultural resources, and for socialization moments that are fundamental for strengthening bonds within class groups.

The educational projects are designed for the study and in-depth exploration of topics related to the environment, ecology, and natural sciences, and are suitable for multiple interdisciplinary programs. Each project, adapted to the age group, can be divided into three types of actions:
- educational path that includes a series of classroom meetings;
- learning experience carried out through guided tours;
- laboratory and manual activities that allow students to put into practice and experiment with what they have learned.

School camps are a time of growth, of evolution both individually and collectively. An experience that is strengthened precisely because it is lived in a protected natural area, which finds, in being a source of training, knowledge, and education in respect for the environment and others, some of the reasons for its existence. Natural environments are places that fascinate students for their uniqueness, places where both the cognitive and emotional aspects are stimulated, the latter being linked to feelings and sensations. The emotional aspect plays an important role in relationships with others and with the environment and therefore in the development of self-awareness, a fundamental step in choosing behaviors. In school camps, true “paths of interdisciplinary knowledge,” direct participation methods will be used: the topics will be developed and explored in a working group format, with the opportunity to discover, experiment, choose, reflect, and verify while staying in places where cultural roots, traces of human passage, and historical events are inextricably intertwined with natural landscapes. For their implementation, we make use of: methodologies tested over the years; support from regularly authorized Travel Agencies and Tour Operators; professionally qualified staff, constantly present with the group for the entire duration of the camps, able to ensure the activities are carried out safely, with competence and knowledge of the area; hotel facilities suitable for hosting school groups. Our proposals, adaptable to schools of all types and levels, are therefore not just “trips,” but fundamental educational experiences for the personal and cultural growth of students.

All our environmental education proposals for schools are collected in a catalogue that is printed annually and delivered to educational institutions. Below you can view or print it.
